Frozen Food Innovations uses an APC Slicer to great effect

Keeping ahead with innovation and technology

Another German company, Frozen Food Innovations, (FFI-Food-Gmbh), based in Remchingen, uses an APC Slicer to great effect for the production of schnitzels which they sell to wholesalers and home service companies.

The company was founded in 1976 on the site of their slaughterhouse at Pforzheim, and began processing meat to sell to regional butchers and restaurants. In 1980 they identified the need for portioned meat products and began production of schnitzels and pork chops which soon led to a fully automated schnitzel production line. This successful venture helped the business to expand considerably, eventually leading to the need to move to larger premises at Remchingen where they now employ 100 people.

Innovation and technology are key to FFI's continuing success to which APC Slicer makes a major contribution.

Customers usually place their orders at short notice, demanding portion weights ranging from 80 to 250g. Typical production rates of 120 cuts per minute are easily achieved.

Jurgen Marks, FFI's operating manager, is pleased with the machine which was bought because of its unique technology. "Appearance of the product is always good, which coupled with consistently precise portion weights, is vital. APC's ease of operation, speed and flexibility allows us to adjust our production levels as required, helping us to be efficient and stay competitive with other companies."
