Sawed Fish

Demand for the increasingly popular swordfish meant that Global Fisheries PTE Limited of Singapore had to look for a more efficient means of cutting high quality steaks from hard frozen fish.

Global's expertise ranges from processing to trading and marketing plus procurement from deep sea long line fishing vessels and trawlers. The company exports its products around the world to no less than 25 countries. These products include: Tuna, Shark, Marlin, Wahoo and, of course, Swordfish - in the form of whole fish, fillets, loins, chunks and steaks - custom packed to suit consumers' requirements.

Cutting the fish was previously done manually with bandsaws, but demand has increased to such an extent that an automatic method was deemed necessary. The search for the right machine ended at AEW THURNE, where trials showed that the APS 200 could cut steaks cleanly, accurately and quickly to fixed thickness from the hard frozen state with a minimum of effort.

Safety and hygiene were also important considerations and yet again, the APS 200 met Global's stringent requirements.

AEW THURNE's APS 200 is in use all over the world, providing processors of all kinds of food products with reliable, high performance automatic portioning.

This order from Global Fisheries proves just how versatile the machine really is and further illustrates AEW THURNE's leadership in automatic portion control technology.

After sales service and support in Singapore is provided by our distributor, Cretel Food Equipment PTE Limited.
